Ellen’s Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie
This recipe comes from my dear friend Ellen. We swapped our favorite Christmas cookie recipes and baked them for a video collaboration on Youtube. Please check out her channel at Ellen’s Homemade Delights.
- 3 cups self rising flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 egg, room temp
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350F.
Sift self rising flour and baking soda together. Set aside.
In a large bow, cream butter cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together.
Mix in one egg at a time as well as the vanilla until well incorporated.
Mix in walnuts and chocolate chips until combined.
Spoon dough onto baking tray, spacing them about two to three inches apart. This dough spreads.
Bake for 10-15 or until golden brown.
Cool on baking sheet for a minute or two before removing to a cooling rack.
