While sitting at home I was craving something casual with familiar flavors so I threw together some Korean BBQ flavored sliders.
I love yaki mandu! It’s one of my favorite snacks or appetizers. I usually make a whole lot of these and freeze them so I can just pull them out when I want since they can be time consuming to make.
When hubby is away I get to enjoy all my funky and spicy foods like this soondubu kimchi jjigae which is Korean soft tofu kimchi stew.
When introducing people to Korean food for the first time I usually cook one of two dishes. One is bulgogi, which there will be a future blog post and video, and galbi or sometimes both. I’ve never met anyone that didn’t like them plus who doesn’t like ribs?
This is my most favorite kimchi. I love the crunch and peppery bite! It’s also so easy to make.
Kimchi is the national dish of Korea but it didn’t originate there. Kimchi comes from China but the Koreans adapted it and made it their own.
This dish is quick to pull together once all the prep work has been done. I love the flavors and the versatility of using different vegetables or whatever is on hand.
I love kimbap so much. It’s one of my favorite dishes to show people how to make and you can impress anyone when you serve it because it’s so pretty and looks so complicated.
